Well done year 4 for a great first week back after half term!
In maths, we have been looking at decimals. We have been comparing and ordering decimals, partitioning them and finding their fraction equivalent. The children have been really successful at this!
In guided reading we read chapter 2 of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe which we have really enjoyed. We will continue with chapter 3 next week.
Our new topic in RE is ‘giving and receiving.’ Today the children answered the big question – What is more important? Giving or receiving? The children came up with some lovely answers and we discussed how giving doesn’t always have to be a physical gift. We can give people friendship, love, kindness and respect.
In history, we started our first lesson on the Anglo-Saxons. We found out about how they came to Britain after the Romans and are looking forward to learning more about them.
Finally, here is a photo of some of our pizzas that we made before the half term. The children had such a fantastic time making them.
Have a wonderful weekend.
