WEEK 5
In English this week, we have started writing our final piece. I will share these with you once they have been edited and published.
We have been jumping all over the place with different topics. We have continued looking and recapping percentages every day, and more of us are starting to feel confident, which is great! We have also looked at 3D cubes and cuboids and what their nets looked like beforehand. We have also built some!
In whole-class reading, we have focused very heavily on three-mark questions in preparation for our assessments next week.
Throughout international week, we have had some fantastic opportunities for the children to learn about Poland. On Monday, we learned a traditional Polish folk dance accompanied by some music. We also split into our houses and shared objects from different cultures. On Tuesday, we listened to different types of Polish music, in particular folk. On Thursday, we celebrated food from around the world. Thank you so much to all the parents that contributed. It makes the children’s day! On Friday, we celebrated all the different cultures with the rest of the school—such an interesting celebration! I certainly learned a lot.
Well done, stars and writers!
