Please remember to read with your child daily and support them with understanding through comprehension of the text and not just decoding. The children have been learning about inference skills and how to answer deeper questions about the text, where the answers cannot always be found by just reading the text.

English:

This week in literacy we have been focusing on full stops and capital letters

TASK : complete the sheet with the correct full stops and capital letters. Remember places of cities, countries and people’s names are known as proper nouns, these need a capital letter. This will help with the postcard writing!

Spellings:

Please read the separate spelling sheet for this week. We have a new spelling rule and a 10 new words to learn. Please complete the activity and regularly test your children throughout the week ready for Thursday.

Maths:

This week we have been looking at addition and subtraction

Task: Complete the addition sums.
