Class News (12.5.23)
It’s been another short week after a weekend of celebrating the coronation but we’ve been busy again. In Maths we’ve been finding the volume of cuboids by building cuboids of different sizes. In English we’ve been writing our class book - ‘The Promise’ by Nicola Davies - as a poem using the text to help us retell the story and we’re now planning a newspaper article about a mysterious young girl planting acorns and transforming her city into a beautiful place.
In Science this week we continued investigating life cycles and compared the life cycles of butterflies who go through metamorphosis and dragonflies who go through an incomplete metamorphosis. In Geography we investigated the number of miles our food travels to reach us and we enjoyed our PE lesson today learning the forehand ground shot.
Many congratulations to our Writer and Stars of the Week. Have an enjoyable weekend. Take care and stay safe.
Best wishes
Mrs Howard
