Animal Rhythms
Year 2 have been composing their own animal rhythms. We learned about single quavers (with the curly tails) and lots of us used syncopated rhythms.
We thought of an animal or a short sentence about an animal and then clapped each syllable. We made them more interesting by changing the rhythms we used. When we performed them, Miss Gunn wrote them out in musical notation.
See if you can tap or clap these patterns to yourself. How would your animal rhythm sound if you composed your own?
