Class News 27.5.2022
We have had a brilliant week in year 4, it has been a busy one!
This week was D&T week, so the children have spent the week covering balloons with paper mache. Once they have fully dried over the half term, we will be painting and decorating them. We will hopefully end up with some lovely decorative bowls once we are finished!

During the month of May, we especially think about Mary. The whole school joined in with a procession to honour Mary. We learned about why Mary is crowned, the story of Mary being visited by the Angel Gabriel and the story of St. Bernadette’s vision of Mary. We then brought up flowers and laid them at feet of the statue of Mary. Thank you for bringing such beautiful flowers in!
On Friday, we celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. This was such a fun and memorable day.
We made crowns to wear and had a lovely celebrating all afternoon. The children ate jam sandwiches and cakes outside with the rest of the school and afterwards we had a lovely time playing in the field. A special thank you to Darcey and her family for baking a delicious cake that we all enjoyed very much!

Finally, a big well done to Xhemil, Rose and Sadina for their excellent homework projects!
Wishing you all a wonderful half term!
