The weeks seem to be flying by! Year 4 have been working incredibly hard so far this half term, so well done and keep it up!
This week we practised sewing skills. We learnt how to do a running stitch and over stitch. This took a lot of patience but the children showed brilliant resilience and kept at it even when they were finding it tricky. They are looking forward to using their new skills to create a Christmas finger puppet over the next few weeks.
In maths we have been continuing to work on multiplication and division. I have noticed a big improvement in our multiplication knowledge. Please continue to practise your division facts at home!
In English this week, the children wrote some fantastic reports on climate change. We learned about the COP26 meeting that happened this month and why it is important for humans to look after the planet.
It was anti-bullying week this week and we focused on ‘one kind word’ and how using kind words can have a big impact on others. We thought of ways that we can show kindness to others. We celebrated the fact that we are all unique and special.
Have a great weekend!
