Year 6, Spring 2, Week 2
Another week has flown by. This week in Year 6, our maths has been based on plotting co-ordinates, using all four quadrants of a co-ordinate grid and translating (moving shapes) on a co-ordinate grid. We've also used our starters to practise percentages and adding/subtracting fractions. Please continue to practise these at home, Year 6!
In English, we are currently looking at dialogue and how authors use it as a way of conveying character or moving the action on. Of course, we also had World Book Day yesterday. Children enjoyed talking about their characters and seeing everyone's fantastic costumes. They also really enjoyed making matchbox book covers.
