CLASS NEWS

For the last two weeks in Nursery we have been preparing ourselves ready for Reception, doing lots of small group activities which will support and help the children ready for their transition.

In Maths and Literacy we have continued to work with numbers up to 5 in many different ways, and sometimes beyond 5. We have also begun to look at some phase 2 sounds as well as shape hunts, number hunts and number writing.

These are also simple and fun ways of engaging and reinforcing what we have been doing with the children.

We have been encouraging the children to take off their jumpers and put their jumpers back on by themselves as this will support the children ready for PE sessions next year in Reception.

In RE we have been learning our new topic of Friends' and realising we are all friends, we have lots of friends and one of those special friends is God, and Jesus who has His special friends called the 'Disciples'.
