It's been the sort of week that is the least favourite of the class - assessment week!  Everyone has worked very hard though on practice SATs papers and we are definitely seeing improvements in lots of areas but the biggest thing many need to improve on is reading the question carefully!  Also, attempt every question and remembering that all the answers in the reading paper are in the text.  We'll keep on practising and revising over the next few weeks though so no need to panic.

Also, this week has been art week and Year 6 have been looking at drawing techniques and using different media - pencils, charcoal etc and also how smudging and erasing can create light and shade.  They did some very effective pieces based on Mayan words using masking tape and charcoal.

Next week promises to be a very busy week with a lot going on but we're nearly at the end of term, so keep up the hard work Year 6!
