First week completed and what a busy one it has been.

English: We read the story of Monstersaurus. Monty wanted to invent a friend and after several attempts he finally made a friend. We wrote sentences about the story and created our own invention page writing what ingredients were needed to make our own monster.

Phonics: We learnt the sounds ‘qu, ch and sh’.                                                                                   

We went over all the red tricky words from last term.

Maths: We continued learning our number bonds to 5. We completed number sentences to 5 using apparatus to help us. We found out lots of ways to make 5.

R.E: We started out topic ‘Celebrating’. We discussed what we celebrate, what important events in the year do we celebrate. Thank you for your photos.

Art: We have been painting our dinosaurs and painting dinosaur footprints.
