Prayer and Liturgy
When we pray together, we recognise God's promise that His presence is with us.
He brings us healing and offers us forgiveness. We remember Christ's words: “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” (Matthew 18:20)

Morning prayer
Oh my God you love me,
You're with me night and day.
I want to love you always
in all I do or say.
I'll try to please you father.
Bless me through the day,

Before Lunch
Bless O God as we sit together.
Bless the food we eat today.
Bless us O God .
Amen
After Lunch
Thank you God for the food we have eaten.
Thank you God for the time we have played.
Amen
End of day prayer
God Our Father,
We come to say,
thank you for your love today.
Thank you for my family
and all the friends you give to me.
Guard me in the dark of night
and in the morning send your light.

Prayer Progression
We have developed a clear prayer progression so that each class is clear on the prayers to be learnt. Other prayers may also be learnt and used in classes.
Early Years | Make the sign of the cross |
Year 1/2 | As above plus: Hail Mary |
Year 3/4 | As above plus: The Glory Be |
Year 5/6 | As above plus: Hail Holy Queen |
Prayer Services, Masses and Quality Time
Each term, each class shares and celebrates prayer and liturgies in different ways, these include
- Termly prayer services from Nursery to Year 6
- Class Mass held in school
- Class Mass attend weekly 10am mass in Church
- Quality time sessions held once a term with Father John for all classes
Worship:
- Pupil led worship once a week
- Adult led worship once a week
- Singing worship once a week
- Gospel assembly once a week
- Celebration assembly once a week
