Halfway through Year 6 already!

This week in maths, we have practised finding the perimeter and area of shapes including triangles and parallelograms as well as using reasoning to solve problems using perimeter and area.  In English, the class have written fairy tales with a twist for the termly Academy writing competition.

We have begun a new science topic - Light.  We started by looking at darkness as the absence of any light.  We then investigated whether light moves in straight lines.  We have also begun a new geography topic looking at where energy comes from and the different types of energy used.
