Healthy Eating Week 3rd-7th June 2024
This week was Healthy Eating Week. We started the week off with key stage assemblies explaining what constitutes a healthy diet and the benefits of eating healthily. Some of the healthy eating activities over the week were as follows:
Reception tasted different fruit and made smoothies, Year 1 designed a healthy lunchbox, Year 2 looked at healthy recipes and made posters, Year 5 designed healthy lunchboxes from other cultures. All classes focussed their PSHE lessons around healthy eating and making healthy choices. Healthy eating homework was set too and each child had to write a healthy eating recipe. Our favourite recipes will be brought together to make our own St Joseph's healthy recipe book. Have a happy and healthy weekend everyone!
