Another fun week in Reception.
Literacy; We read the story of Commotion in the Ocean. We looked at all the different fishes and wrote sentences about them.
We have been working hard on our phonics, recapping all the sounds and learning all the common exception words.
Maths: We have been getting ready for Year 1 using our tens frame to work out our addition number sentences.
UW/Science: We looked at the parts of a fish especially the fins. We then discussed what classification meant and we began to sort the sea creatures into groups. We had a lot of fun doing this.
Art: We made our own Father's Day Cards.
R.E: Our other religion this week was Buddhism. We learnt about who Buddha was and about the importance of kindness.
