Tiddler, Tiddler ... Sorry I'm late I was riding on a seahorse...!
Another week has flown by in Nursery class ...
Continuing with our theme of under the sea, we started the week reading 'Tiddler, the story telling fish' written by Julia Donaldson. The story is about a fish called Tiddler who is the smallest fish in the ocean but can tell the tallest tales until one day Tiddler has a real adventure of his own. The children really enjoyed re telling and acting out the story using our fishy props. Nursery are really developing their story language and it is wonderful to hear how they are incorporating this into their own stories and retelling. Nursery are continuing to develop their knowledge of many sea creatures and are able to name quite a few! Ask your child about the puffer fish! We have been continuing to learn our phase 2 phonics - hearing the sound and attempting its letter formation. Keep up the great work Nursery. As many of you would have seen from class Dojo profiles, the children have been practising their counting and number recognition in maths. Each child completed an under the sea counting quest and thoroughly enjoyed using the number stamps for each answer!
Next week is International Week in school. Nursery class will be learning about Turkey as their class country as well as celebrating other cultures and countries from around the world. It will be a very fun and exciting week!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend! Enjoy the sunshine!
Best wishes,
Mrs Vinci & Mrs Direnzo
