Friday again and our penultimate week before the end of term. Can you believe how quickly this year has gone?!

This week was a particularly busy one as it was assessment week, DT week, moving up day, class showcase evening and sports day!

On Wednesday the children visited Waltham Cross market to buy fruit to make smoothies, as part of our DT topic. We also completed our 3D Sculpture and Paper Play topic this week, the final activity being to collaboratively make a 3D spider sculpture in the style of Louise Bourgeois' 'Maman' spider sculpture.

Sports Day was also a great success and we all had lots of fun. We made our fruit smoothies before Sports Day, which definitely gave us all that extra energy boost we needed!

The children also spent Thursday in Year 2, getting to know Mrs Moseley and settling into their new classroom. By all accounts, it was a very successful day, and I am sure the children will all settle into Year 2 straight away after the break.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Mrs Carpineta
