What a week it has been at school! I just had to take a moment to shout from the rooftops about how amazing our children were in the assembly. It was absolutely fantastic, and I couldn't have been prouder of them. Despite not having much time to practise, they absolutely smashed it and made us all proud. A huge thank you to all the parents for supporting your children with learning their lines and for showing up to cheer them on. I hope you enjoyed the assembly as much as I did.

This week, the children have been putting in loads of effort practising for the assembly, and their hard work truly paid off. It's been so rewarding to see their dedication and teamwork in action.

In PE, we've been getting stuck into rounders. It's a new game with new rules, but the children have been picking it up like pros. Just a little reminder to please ensure your child brings in their kit each week, so they can fully participate in our sessions.

Today was Windrush Day, and we had the pleasure of spending the morning with Patsy Spears, who shared her insights on the Windrush generation and its significance. The children were engaged and even created diary entries reflecting on this important part of history.

During PSHE lessons, we focused on the theme of keeping healthy, understanding our bodies, and exploring self-perception. We will continue with this topic next week, building on the valuable discussions and reflections.

As we head into the weekend, I want to send a special shoutout to Year 5 children - you've been absolute superstars this week! Take some time to rest, relax, and enjoy the sunshine. You truly deserve it after all your hard work.
