WEEK 3
We are thrilled to share with you the many exciting things that have happened this week in our school. First and foremost, we celebrated British Science Week, a fantastic opportunity for our children to engage with the wonders of science in an interactive and stimulating environment. One of the highlights was the fascinating exploration of slinkies. Who knew they could be so captivating? Our classroom discussions unravelled the history of this simple yet extraordinary toy, demonstrating its scientific principles and encouraging curiosity among the children! In addition, we focused on the Peace and Unity Prayer within the Communion Rite at mass. This insightful session enabled students to reflect on the importance of harmony and community, fostering a deeper understanding of our collective responsibility towards one another.
Furthermore, we have started our new Geography unit centred around the theme of food. Our initial lesson provided an engaging opportunity to explore the intricate relationship between food production, importation, and its environmental impact. The discussions sparked a series of questions about how our choices can either support or hinder the atmosphere, encouraging students to think critically about global food systems.
