Year 6 have worked particularly hard this week as they have had assessments in maths and English.  I will mark and analyse these and use them to decide our next half term's booster groups.  I will also go through questions with the class and individuals and practise any skills needed.

Other than assessments, it's been a very creative week as it has been art week.  Our topic is 'Making my voice heard' and the children have enjoyed looking at this in relation to a Mexican painter and his Mayan themed art work.  They have created their own pieces based on the work of Diego Rivera but with symbols from their own lives, hobbies and likes.

It was also Mental Health Week this week so we have looked at some wellbeing including taking notice of the world around us and self-care.  The children enjoyed a walk outside and working together to mind-map things they love before creating calendars of activities for self-care.
