Fire…Fire….

As part of our ‘People who help us’ topic, we began thinking about the fire service and how they help us and keep us safe. We discussed a fire officer’s uniform and things they might have and use such as reflective clothing, a radio and a torch. Nursery had some excellent suggestions how and why these things might be used. As you will have seen from Dojo Nursery enjoyed our role play dressing up and our fire engines and station.
We continued this week with our Phase 1 phonics in preparation for phonics phase 2 next term. The children’s listening skills are really improving and are able to distinguish many different sounds. we have been continuing to practice writing our names and this would be amazing if you could support this at home too.
We have been continuing with our counting and number songs. We played a snowman game on our interactive whiteboard, the children had to count the number of snowmen and match them to the correct numeral. Their counting and matching number to quantity has really developed. Well done Nursery.

Well done to our Stars of the week and our Bumble Bee Trunkie 😊

Thank you for your continued support and we wish you a wonderful weekend.
