WEEK 5

What a fantastic week we have had! In English, we completed our Graphic Novels and are excited to announce that we will be publishing them on Monday. I will send out a Dojo notification detailing the time for you to come and view our students' impressive creations. Their creativity and dedication have truly shone through in these projects.

In Maths, we have successfully covered rounding and are now moving on to mental addition and subtraction. It has been wonderful to observe the children’s progression in their mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills.

In Religious Education, we explored the life of King Solomon, examining his wisdom and whether he was indeed a wise ruler. We engaged in discussions about contemporary issues around the world and considered how King Solomon might have approached these problems had he been alive today. This reflective activity prompted deep thought and insightful contributions from the class.

Our History lessons this week focused on the Victorians, specifically the different roles that children had during that era. The children gained an understanding of the challenges and responsibilities faced by their peers in the past.

We also had a lovely St Francis of Assisi day. The children celebrated his feast day by attending mass, followed by a thoughtful reflection led by Olivia. Together, we explored the life of St Francis and his remarkable story, and later, the children expressed their creativity through art inspired by his work.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, and I look forward to seeing the children back on Monday. A big well done to our stars and writers of the week for their hard work and dedication!
