WEEK 4
We have had a delightful week in our classroom, filled with engaging activities and learning experiences!
In English, the children have begun composing their own graphic novels, tapping into their creativity and enhancing their storytelling skills. It has been a joy to witness their imaginative ideas take shape on the page.
In maths, we have started exploring the concept of rounding numbers to the nearest ten. The children have worked hard to grasp this new skill. Next week we will extend our learning by rounding to the nearest hundred and thousand. This progression will ensure a thorough understanding of number concepts.
Our science lessons this week focused on our teeth and their functions. The students investigated the different types of teeth and participated in a fun experiment where we sampled various foods to observe their effects on our teeth. To add an element of excitement, we counted how many teeth each student has – a rather amusing activity that sparked much curiosity!
We also enjoyed a splendid day on Tuesday, where we spent quality time with the Year 2 students during our retreat day. Together, we listened to the creation story which sparked lovely discussions. The children then painted paper plates to represent the Earth, showcasing their artistic skills. We also played a fantastic game of biblical bingo, ultimately leading into an exciting activity where the children created beautiful stained glass windows. It was a splendid experience for all involved!
Well done to stars and writer!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend ahead!
