WEEK 6
We have had a great week this week filled with engaging activities and impressive learning across various subjects. Despite the number of assessments, the children have shown remarkable perseverance and enthusiasm.
In English, we have started a new unit centred around explanations, which will extend into the new term after Christmas. The children are already demonstrating their understanding and creativity in articulating their thoughts clearly, and I look forward to seeing their progress as we delve deeper into this unit in the coming weeks.
In Design Technology, the children had a fantastic time working on their book sleeve projects. Their creativity and craftsmanship have truly shone through, and it has been a pleasure to watch them bring their ideas to life. It is heartwarming to see how proud they are of their final products.
Our Religious Education lessons have introduced the children to the symbols of Advent. They are exploring the significance and meanings behind these symbols, fostering a sense of awareness about this important season.
As we approach the end of our Geography unit, we have an exciting opportunity planned on Monday; a small trip to the forest school for some fieldwork activities. This hands-on experience will help solidify the concepts we have been studying, enriching their understanding of the natural world.
In the spirit of the festive season, we have been busy preparing for our carol concert next week and creating our DT pouches with a Christmas theme in mind. The children’s enthusiasm for these seasonal activities is infectious and adds a delightful touch to our classroom atmosphere.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend ahead!
