Goat goes to Nursery too!...

The week has flown by and has been busy and fun packed one! We are so proud of our Nursery children, they are all settling well and learning the routines of Nursery! They have been fantastic at coming into the classroom in the morning and joining us on the carpet for rhymes, songs and the register. We have had a new rug delivered to our classroom this week which caused great excitement and the children have loved choosing their favourite colour square as their seating space.

We began our week as we will always do with our book for the week. This week we are reading ' Goat goes to Nursery' by Julia Donaldson. It is a fun rhyming story about a Goat starting Nursery and all the new fun things he gets to do and play as well as learning new things such as using the toilet and making new friends. The nursery children have continued to explore all areas of our classroom. They have produced their first artwork and were all very proud to see it displayed!

Nursery have also enjoyed exploring our outdoor area, and with the better weather this week, nursery enjoyed our sand pit area, climbing frame and bikes in particular! It is so wonderful to see the friendships being made in our Nursery class and also with the Reception children too. Nursery were also shown our outdoor prayer area and were invited to make the Sign of the Cross and to join in with one of our school prayers which we have begun learning.

A well done to our 'stars of the week' - Maylk and Amelia-Grace.

On Monday you will be given your Dojo sign up request sheet, if you could sign up as soon as possible as it would be great to have everyone on Dojo and we can start sending home individually what your child has been doing in Nursery smiley.

We wish you all a wonderful weekend,

Take care,

Mrs Vinci & Mrs Direnzo
