We had a great week in class! The children have been busy engaging in a variety of subjects, sparking their curiosity and creativity.
In English, we have commenced our poetry unit. This week, the focus has been on using descriptive language to bring our poems to life. The children have been enthusiastically experimenting with description. It is a joy to see their imagination flourish through this creative process.
In maths, we have continued refining our understanding of the column method for addition and subtraction, including regrouping. The children have been applying these skills through practical exercises and problem-solving activities, further enhancing their confidence with numbers.
In RE, our exploration of Judaism has provided a lovely opportunity for the children to share their insights from previous year groups and to build upon this foundational knowledge. They have shown great respect and curiosity towards different cultures and beliefs, which is vital for developing their understanding of our diverse society.
Our Geography lessons this week have offered an exciting investigation into the various layers of the rain forest. The children engaged with knowledge from previous studies on different biomes, allowing for a well-rounded appreciation of our planet’s ecosystems.
In Science, we have concluded our topic on Animals, including Humans, and we will be moving on to an exploration of sound this coming week. The students are certainly looking forward to discovering the fascinating properties of sound and their applications in our everyday lives.
Well done to all our stars and writers this week!
Wishing you all a lovely weekend. Thank you for the continued support you provide to the school; it is truly appreciated.
