WEEK 6
What a fantastic week it’s been — full of creativity, curiosity and brilliant learning!
In English, we’ve put the finishing touches on our Graphic Novels — and they look incredible! The children should be so proud of their hard work and imagination. We’ve also started a brand-new persuasive writing unit, inspired by The King Who Banned the Dark. The children have already come up with some very convincing ideas!
In Maths, we’ve been sharpening our rounding skills to help us estimate answers. It’s been great to see the children thinking carefully about whether their answers make sense.
Our Science lessons have been all about teeth and liquids this week! We explored how different drinks can affect our teeth — a messy but fascinating experiment that definitely got everyone thinking about healthy choices.
It’s also been Art Week, and the classroom has been bursting with colour! Our theme was the rainforest and the animals that live there. The children created beautiful mood boards, zoomed in on tiny details to enlarge in their artwork and experimented with patterns and different media — the results are stunning!
In History, we travelled back to the Victorian era and imagined what life was like for children working during that time. The children wrote touching letters home, describing their working conditions — full of empathy and emotion. Their writing was truly fantastic!
What an amazing week of learning and creativity — well done, everyone! 🌿✨
