Mrs Howard has been absent today and yesterday but Year 5 have still been working hard!

This week in maths they have been looking at ordering and comparing fractions with different denominators.  English at the moment is inspired by the book 'The Boy in the Tower'.  The class are really enjoying reading the story so far and have looked at writing a setting from the point of view of the tower.

This week, Year 5 have completed their Mayan history topic, which they have found very interesting; they will be moving on to geography next week.

Next week promises to be a busy week for everyone with Shrove Tuesday, Ash Wednesday and World Book Day all in one week!  See Parentmail for all the details.
