Friday again and the end of another busy week in Year 1.

This week we were continuing to look at poetry and rhyming. 

On Friday it was National Poetry Day and we were visited by the poet Neal Zetter. He performed some of his poems during assembly which was a real treat. Mr Zetter then visited each class. When he came into Year 1 we wrote a tall poem together about a dog then worked together in pairs to write our own animal tall poems, which were really great. 

We continued to learn about Lent as we prepare for Easter.

In maths we continued to look at measuring and using centimetres.
