Class News 24.5.2004
Its been fun under the the sea..
Our final week before another half term comes to an end, and as always another busy and fun packed one!
We began our week in literacy with our final fishy tale stories, 'Stan the rockstar starfish' and 'Jolly Olly Octopus'.
We made our own starfish using bubble wrap for the starfish skin and painted them mixing yellow and red. We observed the different shades of orange we could make. You will see them hanging on our underwater display. We have been so impressed how much the children have learnt about life in the ocean and how many different sea life creatures they are able to name and talk about. In RE we began our new topic 'friends', we discussed the big question..Is it good to have friends? Nursery came up with some lovely reasons why it's good to have friends and what makes a good friend. We discussed how Jesus helps us to be good friends and to follow in his ways. We have been continuing our phase 2 phonics and in maths continuing to match numeral to quantity. Thank you to the parents and carers who were able to attend our LIFT session on Thursday. There will be another opportunity to attend next half term.
We wish you a wonderful half term and look forward to our final half term in Nursery!
Best wishes,
Mrs Vinci & Mrs Direnzo
