Spring 2, Week 6 - Friday 4th April
And we've made it! A very busy term and a very busy week but we have made it to the Easter holidays. This week has been DT week and Year 6 have worked really well on their automata, using tools safely and sensibly to create the frames before creating cams to add to them.
Here they are working busily:
Finished frames:
And we've nearly finished them completely. Just a few additions on the first day back after Easter.
We finished the day with our end of term Mass in the Church which was beautifully led by our Year 6 readers, so well done to all of them. An extra well done to our choir and in particular to the Year 6 members (and a few Year 5) who put the descant into the last hymn and blew everyone away. We have some fantastic singers and today they really did us proud. They've even got a mention in our recent, Outstanding, Section 48 (RE) Inspection: "Pupils are deeply engaged in the school's outstanding prayer and liturgy experiences, actively participating through prayerful silence, attentiveness, and communal singing. Their singing is particularly noteworthy, exemplified by the Year 6 boys singing the alto part to ‘My God Loves Me’ at the end of a whole school prayer and liturgy." So, a big well done to all our Year 6 singers.
Have a lovely Easter break - Year 6, keep those skills ticking over with your revision homework but also spend time with family, relax and have fun.
