What a first week in Reception! I am happy to say the majority of the children have settled in well to their new class and routines. I am amazed at how quickly they have adapted to their surroundings.

We have been busy learning our phonics and practising our letter formations and in maths we have been trying to form our numbers correctly too.

We read the story 'The Colour Monster' and spoke about our feelings and what to do when we feel all muddled up like the colour monster. The children now check in every morning by letting the adults know what and how they are feeling.

This week the children also got to meet their buddies, it has been lovely to see the children play and get to know them.

They will be seeing their buddies in the coming week in preparation for their buddy assembly.
