WEEK 11 - 28|11|2025
Wow, we are nearly in December!
This week, we started our new English topic, Dragon Post, and have been exploring different types of letters. The children wrote postcards using expanded noun phrases and commas in a list. We then read part of our new book, where Alex discovers a dragon in his house! The children loved this and rehearsed what they would text their friend if they found a dragon in their own home.
In Maths, we have been finding the difference, rebalancing, and using ‘Think 10’ to support addition and subtraction. Next week, we will continue to find the difference and practise rebalancing calculations so we can work out answers more easily.
In RE, we looked at two pieces of artwork showing the Annunciation of Zechariah and Mary. We asked ‘wondering questions’ about the images and discussed how we think Zechariah and Mary might have felt when the angel appeared to them. We then retold, in detail, the story of the Annunciation to Zechariah, when the angel Gabriel told him that his wife would have a baby.
We have also been having great fun practising our Nativity!
Finally, a special mention to our Stars and Learner of the Week:
✨ Stars of the Week: Martin and Elsa — for their hard work and brilliant behaviour this week!
✏️ Learner of the Week: Taylor — for your fantastic effort across all subjects. You have been working so hard — well done!

Kind regards,
Miss Perone & Mrs Nicolini
