Week 5 7.2.25
Another fun packed week of learning in Reception.
English:We have been busy writing sentences using CVC and CVCC words. We are remembering to use finger spaces and our sound mats.
Phonics: We are learning our Phase 3 sounds. This week we learnt 'ai, ee, igh, oa'. The tricky words are ' what, was, you, my, was, your and by'.
Maths: We have been looking at prepositions. We practised them during our pe lesson.
R.E; We spoke about who cares for us and if we have ever cared for anyone.
It has been Children's Mental Health Week - we have been looking at similarities and differences and why we like things and why we do not. We spoke about uniqueness and what we like about ourselves. We decorated puzzle pieces with things that make who we are. We had some meditation time in the hall where we tried some breathing techniques and found ourselves going to our happy place. We then got to spend time with our buddies - as this made us feel good.
