Year 5 really enjoyed our whole school Maths Day on Wednesday!  We came to school dressed as rockers because the focus was on our TT Rock Stars times tables and our costumes were very imaginative.  We played TTRS games in teams as well as against each other and then played times tables board games.  It was a great way to practise our tables!

In Maths this week, we’ve been practising how to find the area of compound shapes and next week we’re moving onto percentages.  In English, we’ve written our final drafts of our survival guides to living on a deserted island and in History we’ve been investigating the influence of Greek philosophers and discussing the legacy of the ancient Greek civilisation.

We all took part in our annual Sports Day this week too.  We all enjoyed the different activities and tried our hardest for our Houses.
