First half term completed! When has the time gone? I can honestly say the children are now fully settled into school routine and are well established. We have had a smooth transition and now after half term the children will begin to have a much structured routine in terms of learning.

This week has been assessment week, children have been showing us what they can do and what they have remembered.

Lots of recapping of phonic sounds and common exception words. We have been practising our name writing too.

In maths we have continued to subitise-being able to recognise a quantity without counting. It is harder than you think!

R.E we have continued learning about the creation story and we have been sequencing it in the correct order.

We had Spanish Day where we chose our Spanish speaking artist Frida Khalo. We were inspired by her work and we chose to do our own self-portraits following her style.
