WEEK 8 - 7|11|2025
Wow, this week has flown by!
This week, we started a new unit in English, 'Last Stop on Market Street' by Matt de la Peña. We have been learning about the past tense, making sure to add -ed to the end of our words. The children have also been creating expanded noun phrases and learning to see the beauty in all things, just like CJ’s Nana in the story.
In Maths, we have continued working with 2-digit numbers, focusing on number magnitude and sequencing. We have also practised estimating numbers on a number line. Next week, we will begin adding 2-digit numbers together, using our regrouping skills.
We have also started our Geography unit this half term on 'Hot and Cold Places'. The children explored the Arctic, located it using an atlas, and discussed the different things you might find there.
We have also been busy making poppies (thank you for bringing in so many plastic bottles) for our Remembrance display.
It was also lovely to meet so many of you at parent consultations and share how brilliantly the children have been doing. They have all worked so hard, and I am really looking forward to the rest of this half term as we have lots of fun learning and activities coming up.
Finally, a special mention to our Stars and Learner of the Week!
✨ Stars of the Week: Favour and Mattyas for their outstanding behaviour and effort.
✏️ Learner of the Week: Zeynep for her hard work and determination. 😊
Please see below for some pictures from our week. 📸
Thank you all for your continued support. We wish you a lovely weekend and look forward to seeing you on Monday.
Kind regards,
Miss Perone and Mrs Nicolini
