Week 2
It’s been a busy week in Year 3! On Tuesday we went to the Laura Trott Leisure Centre for our first swimming lesson. The swimming instructors were very friendly and helpful. Everyone tried their best and we’re looking forward to seeing how our swimming improves over the next few weeks.
In Maths this week, we’ve been revising the formal written method for subtraction as well as our times tables and in English we’ve revised prepositions and prepositional phrases as well as planning to write our own fables.
In our new RE topic called ‘Galilee to Jerusalem’ we’ve been investigating the story of the Three Magi and how the arrival of Jesus signifies the importance of the Kingdom of God.
In Science we started our new unit on Animals including humans and discussed the importance of a good balanced diet and in History we looked at what life was like in Ancient Rome by studying the remains of important buildings in the city of Rome.
Congratulations to our Stars of the week and to our Learner too.
We hope you have a lovely weekend and we look forward to seeing you next week.
Best wishes
Mrs Howard, Miss Cicero and Mrs Mills.
