Friday again! Yet another busy week has come to a close.
This week was a particularly fun one as we finished our puppets and celebrated World Book Day!
In English we continued the story of Martha Maps it Out and began our story plans for an exciting fictional journey from our homes to school- what happens to us on the way? Well, we will have to find out next week!
In maths this week we were using rulers to measuring things using cm. A very tricky concept but the children all did very well.
For World Book Day we made our own bookmarks and collaboratively wrote a class story using a set of exciting mystery props. The whole class got learner of the week this week as the story was so good! I have attached it here for you to read. The children all looked fantastic in their World Book Day costumes and really enjoyed all the activities set.
In DT the children had to design and then make their own hand puppet. Take a look at their wonderful designs. Mrs Gilliam and I were so proud of their sewing skills too!
Don't forget that it is our prayer service next Friday at 2.45pm and we look forward to welcoming you all then. Please do continue to help your child to practise their lines at home.
Have a wonderful weekend and see you on Monday!
