Black History Month - Parent Workshop
Today as part of the national theme of 'Saluting our Sisters' we have been learning about different fashion role models. Our parents came into to deliver a workshop to our children about design, fashion and craft makers. We explored traditions, cultures and deep meaning behind these outfits. We learnt about the role of a tailor and how to create new sustainable clothing.
We learnt that patterns and images on clothing represent countries, communities, identities and stories.
This was such a lovely time spent with our children and our parents to continue the work around the theme of 'Saluting our Sisters'
