Welcome to Year 3!  We’ve had a lovely couple of days getting to know each other and we’re looking forward to teaching and supporting you throughout the coming academic year.

Next week we’ll be starting our Maths and English work in more detail.  In the former, we’re looking at place value with large numbers and in the latter we’re exploring a super book called ‘The Paper Bag Princess’ by Robert Munsch.  The text will give us many opportunities to explore the story through speaking, drama and writing activities.  

In RE, we’ve learnt about our class saint, St Jacinta Marto, and we’ll be looking at our new RE curriculum focusing on Creation and Covenant next week. Our History topic is called Stone Age to Iron Age and we’ll be creating a timeline to pick out key events that happened before and after the birth of Christ.
