Week 3
Welcome to Year 3’s week!
One of the highlights this week was our Drama4All workshop where we learnt a song and dance for a musical version of Robin Hood. Everyone really enjoyed the session!
In Maths, we’ve been working hard to learn multiplication and division facts through TTRS and subtracting three-digit numbers by regrouping using the written formal method. In English, we have been revising our use of conjunctions and prepositions to help us develop our noun phrases as we write our own fables.
In History we’ve investigated why the Romans invaded Britain and found out that they wanted its natural resources like iron, tin, gold and cattle as well as slaves. They wanted to expand their empire and look more powerful as well as introduce their gods and way of life to other peoples too. Finally, in our Animals including humans Science topic, we have been investigating why animals need skeletons and then we labelled the main bones of a human skeleton.
Congratulations to our Stars of the week and to our Learner too.
We hope you have a lovely weekend and we look forward to seeing you next week.
Best wishes
