Friday again and our penultimate week before the well deserved Easter break!

This week was Charity Week and the children all had lots of fun while raising money for the Catholic Children's Society. Year 1 particularly enjoyed our danceathon session. 

In English we continued looking at poetry and we wrote our ow tall poems based on our favourite food. Lots of cakes, cookies and sweets were written about this week! 

In maths we were had to 'think 10' and use our number facts to 10 to help us add numbers that cross over the 10 threshold.

In science we looked at the seasons and appropriate clothing to wear during each season.

In geography we used atlases to locate where the UK is in the world and to find out the countries that make up the UK.

It was also Assessment Week this week and the children all tried very hard with the various tests they had this week. Next week we will have another mock Phonics Screening paper so please do practise their sounds over the weekend.
