Class News 28.2.25
Pull….Pull….but your just a tiny mouse…
Welcome back! We hope you all had an enjoyable half term!
Another busy week has flown by in Nursery again this week!
We started the week with our final traditional tale 'The Enormous Turnip'. We discussed how the characters all came to help one another and what cooperation can achieve. We acted out and sequenced the story using masks, props and our own enormous turnip (our space hopper with the help of some material and imagination!!)
Nursery class also investigated 'Forces' as part of our understanding of the world - as well as vegetables we looked at objects you find in your home or in our classroom and we investigated if we 'push' or 'pull' them or both. Maybe Nursery could investigate this at home and tell us on Monday something they found and if you push or pull it .
We continued with our Phase 2 phonics and practiced really listening to each sound to see if we could identify it and match the picture and we looked at number and quantity this week too, lots of children writing their numbers as well which was great to see! We hope you enjoyed seeing this on Dojo.
Next Thursday we will be celebrating World Book Day, a letter has been sent out on parent mail with further information about this! We look forward to what will be a great day that promotes the love and enjoyment of reading!
Well done to our stars of the week Ezekiel and Eliora
We wish you all a wonderful weekend and we thank you for your continued support!
Kind regards,
Mrs Vinci & Mrs Direnzo
