DAILY READING CHALLENGES

Looking for fun ways to get your child reading more? These quick and easy reading challenges are perfect for ALL children! They’re engaging, simple, and can be completed in just a few minutes—making reading a daily habit fun and exciting!

 

1. 5-Minute Daily Reading

Read for just 5 minutes every day. It’s short, easy, and builds a lifelong reading habit.

 

2. Genre Explorer

Try a book from each genre: fiction, non-fiction, mystery, adventure, or fantasy. Exploring different genres makes reading more exciting!

 

3. Picture Book Challenge

Read a picture book and describe your favourite illustration or page in one sentence. It encourages attention to detail and reflection.

 

4. Character Detective

Pick a character and list 3 things they do or say. A fun way to build comprehension skills.

 

5. Rhyme Time

Find 5 words that rhyme in your book. Great for phonics and vocabulary practice.

 

6. Book Scavenger Hunt

Look for things like:
