BONFIRE 5TH NOVEMBER CELEBRATION
Today we celebrated an old English tradition. Bonfire Night celebrates the day the Gunpowder Plot failed in 1605, when a group of people tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament with gunpowder. Because the plot failed and the King was saved, people lit bonfires to celebrate. Today, we still celebrate on November 5th with bonfires, fireworks, and sparklers.
We went over to our forest school and we listened to the story of Guy Fawkes, lit the fire and had toasty marshmallows! A lot of fun was had by all
