Week 11
This has been a very special week for St Joseph’s. It’s our final week in school before Easter and on Monday each class visited the Stations of the Cross in the school hall and reflected on Christ’s journey to his death and his sacrifice to save us all.
In the afternoon, we watched pupils who had spent this term learning how to play a musical instrument with a company called Rock Steady perform. We were very impressed by all the bands’ performances and I think we have some very talented musicians of the future here at school.
On Thursday Year 3 supported the Year 4’s production of Resurrection Rock and learnt both songs and actions. We sang enthusiastically and our readers said their lines perfectly. It was a lovely and moving production to watch!
We’ve also been raising money for a charity called Mary’s Meals by holding a danceathon and other fundraising events.
Our week finished with an Easter Mass in school led by Father John.
Well done to our Learner and Stars of the week! We wish you a very Happy Easter break and look forward to seeing you in the Summer Term!
Best wishes
Mrs Howard, Miss Cicero and Mrs Mills.
